This Privacy Policy explains how Prompts ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, protects, and handles your information when you use the Prompts iOS and iPadOS applications and our associated website (collectively, the "Services").

Our core philosophy is absolute privacy. We built Prompts so that your AI interactions, instructions, and templates remain entirely under your control. We do not track, read, or sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization. We only collect the bare minimum information necessary to ensure the Services function properly.

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Your Prompt Data: This includes the text, variables, templates, folders, and instructions you store in the application. This data is exclusively stored mathematically and locally on your device using App Sandbox architecture. We never have access to this data.
• Support Inquiries: If you contact us for technical support, we collect the email address you provide and any context you include regarding the bug or feature request.

B. Information Collected Automatically (Opt-In Analytics)

If you have explicitly opted into sharing analytics with developers via Apple's device settings, we receive anonymized telemetry. This may include:

• Aggregated crash logs to help us identify and fix bugs.
• Aggregated, anonymous usage metrics (e.g., hardware models, OS version) provided directly through Apple's App Store Connect portal.

None of this data is tied to your identity, nor is it linked to the content of your prompt library.

2. How Your Data is Stored and Synced

Because Prompts is a "local-first" application, your information never touches our servers. There is no central backend.

• Local Storage: All user data defaults to local storage on your device, safeguarded by Apple's hardware encryption.
• iCloud Synchronization (Pro Feature): If you purchase Prompts Pro and enable iCloud Sync, your database synchronizes across your devices using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This data is stored in your private iCloud container, protected by Apple's security protocols. We cannot access, view, or modify your iCloud container.

3. Third-Party Integrations and External AI Providers

Prompts is an offline organization tool. However, you will inevitably use the text generated within Prompts to interact with third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

When you copy, export, or share a prompt to an external service or browser, that data leaves our application and becomes subject to the Privacy Policy of that specific third-party provider. We are not responsible for how third parties process the queries you submit to them.

4. Your Rights and Control

You have full ownership and control over your data. Because we do not host your data, exercising your rights is instantaneous and entirely in your hands:

• Right to Erase: You can permanently delete all your data by deleting the Prompts app from your devices and choosing to delete the associated iCloud data when prompted by iOS.
• Right to Export: You can export your entire library at any time into an open JSON format or `.promptkit` file via the app's Export settings.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Given the offline nature of the application, we do not require the input of an age or birthdate to use the app.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or due to regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any structural changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through a release note in the App Store update.
